Q: Is this a furry comic?

No.

Most of the main cast are CHIMERAS, the others being either humans, aliens, robots, or some combination of those. They do not ‘yiff’, they do not ‘shake paws’. If I hadn’t been an idiot when I started FLEDGLING, the characters would have been humans (though that would mean that characters like Norek and the Kamaitachi siblings would be completely different).

Q: Is this a yaoi/BL/Shounen-ai?

A: Not necessarily. It has more LGBT themes than “omg sensei-sama let’s fuck!!111” themes. No semes, no ukes. Sorry.

Q: So what genre is this, anyway?

A: Extremely violent post-apocalyptic mecha horror surrealist/druggie comic with lots of retarded psychology, politics, music influences, and gay porn.

Q: What inspired the comic?

A: Uhhhh.

The really old version was some sort of ghey .HACK rip off, the second was a spur-of-the-moment revision, and the current (final) version was inspired by a dream and PMS RAGEEEE

Q: How do you make the comic?

A: I BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF LITTLE CHILDREN AND USE THEIR BLOOD FOR INK

Actually I’m slowlyyyyy making a tutorial on it so. Uh. :B

Q: Can you at least tell me what you use to make it?

A: Older pages: Sakura Microns of varying sizes, store-brand grey markers, crayola watercolors.

Digital pages: Photoshop CS3 Extended, BambooFun wacom.

A: My writing tends to rely on subtle things… A simple sentence, a gesture, or even a character in the background could hint at something more. This is one of those comics where you have to think. :/
